The goal of the Universalia-managed EDP was to contribute to the development of inclusive, learner-centered education systems that model respect and peaceful co-existence among all. EDP has three components: Kosovo (Kosovo Educator Development Project (KEDP) – Phase I 2001-2003), Serbia (Serbia Educator Development Project (SEDP)), and Montenegro (Montenegro Development Project (MEDP)) with similar sub-components tailored to the different contexts: In particular, capacity development of the respective Ministries of Education (in all three jurisdictions) and related educational institutions at national level is undertaken to strengthen the enabling environment for education, including governance & policy development. The human resource development and organizational development goals of EDP contribute to the development of inclusive, learner-centered education systems in Kosovo, Serbia, and Montenegro, which models respect and peaceful co-existence.
