Universalia has been awarded a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation to develop and test
an approach for an impact analysis of the Rockefeller Foundation’s grants portfolio. More precisely, this means that Universalia will conduct an analysis of the Foundation’s grant portfolio (of approximately 1,000 grants since early 2007) and report on the lessons learned.
Universalia will also be in charge of convening a workshop of evaluation experts in New York to identify and share best practices and tools for improving evaluation in areas such as: policy influence, innovation, capacity development, sustainability, and organizational performance. The workshop will be held in collaboration with Claremont Graduate University, based in southern California. The coordinator of that workshop is Stewart Donaldson, author of a very interesting book entitled: What Counts as Credible Evidence in Applied Research and Evaluation Practice?
