Canada-Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Scholarship Program

Universalia managed this project designed to increase the availability of skilled managers and trainers in the Caribbean community and to strengthen the capacity of regional institutions and national governments to coordinate and manage HRD investments on a regional basis. Universalia coordinated: 1) The recruitment/selection system with 13 regional governments; 2) The placement of mid-career professionals in Canadian universities; 3) The delivery of regional conferences; 4) The planning and delivery of customized professional development programs and training programs for scholars and senior government officials; 5) The training handbooks, administrative manuals and tracer studies; and 6) The training of trainers and consultants in the region. Fifty-two scholars successfully completed tertiary level degrees.
