How Best to Organize RRI to Maximize its Impact

The Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI) was established in 2005 as an informal coalition of organizations whose common goal is to strengthen – through tenure and market reforms – the rights of rural and indigenous communities to access forest and land resources in order to reduce poverty and encourage the development of more sustainable land use practices. Universalia was commissioned to conduct a strategic review of RRI’s organizational structure, and to propose structural options to scale up the coalition’s impact (or high-level results).
