Dr. Archi Rastogi led a policy brief commissioned by GIZ and WIN, to explore the link between climate change finance and the water sector, from the perspective of integrity. Nearly 10-20% of development finance is lost to corruption every year. If indeed US$ 100 billion every year are mobilized for multilateral climate finance with a 13% share allot¬ted to water projects, then roughly US$ 1-2 billion will be lost to corruption in water projects alone. What can the two sectors learn from each other?
