Marisia Barrière

Marisia Barrière provides project and administrative support to the various practices at Universalia, notably the Environment, Security & Conflict Transformation Practice and La Francophonie Practice. In Urban Planning at Concordia, she learned about research methods and was welcomed into the Honours Program in order to conduct research of her own. Marisia joined Universalia in 2023 to further her knowledge about global development both in Canada and abroad. Marisia is a team player and enjoys helping at all levels of a project. Marisia draws on her background in urban planning to support Universalia in committing to making the world a more sustainable and equitable place. Universalia allows her to combine her skills in administration with her passion for the ways people, governments and organizations go about crafting a better future through programs in a global context. Under the supervision of the CEO, project team leads and the finance team, Marisia helps manage a range of administrative duties. She aims to bring a high level of organization while implementing collaborative processes in the workplace. Marisia is also the Social Activities Coordinator at Universalia. Marisia is fluent in English, French, and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
