Yasmin holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance with a focus on Economic Policy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), Brazil. She is interested in mixed methods approaches and topics such as sustainable development, poverty, inequality, labour markets, and employment/job creation.
Her work experiences focus on holistic approaches to sustainable development in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. In these roles, she has supported the management and implementation of programmatic, country programme, and multi-country evaluations, ensuring compliance with UNEG norms quality standards. She has also provided technical support and capacity building in evaluation to countries, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and robust policy development. In addition, she has conducted economic research, performed data analysis, and played a key role in disseminating evaluation and research findings through webinars, publications, and social media updates.
Yasmin possesses technical skills in tools such as R, EViews, Stata, Tableau, LaTEX, and has expertise in quantitative and mixed methods. Additionally, she speaks fluent Portuguese (her native language), English, Spanish, and has working knowledge of French and German.
