The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) is currently undertaking the evaluations of six grants/investments made under the BMGF nutrition advocacy portfolio in order to understand their role, as well as the role of other organizations (either funded or not funded by Gates) in achieving nutrition advocacy outcomes. Universalia has been contracted to undertake this evaluation.
The evaluation has two purposes: 1) an accountability purpose - to take stock of the performance of the Nutrition Donor Financing Advocacy portfolio to date and; 2) a learning purpose - to identify opportunities and lessons for the future of the portfolio as well as to understand what model of engagement the Foundation should have with the community in the future.
